The Cleanroom Texon chair delivers certified cleanroom safety together with reliable electrostatic discharge protection for demanding workstations in high-tech industry. Manufactured by Bimos, a brand of Interstuhl Büromöbel GmbH & Co.KG, the chair meets the strict air purity class 3 requirements of DIN EN ISO 14644-1 and the electrostatic discharge requirements of EN 61340-5-1, with a typical discharge resistance of 10⁶ Ohm. Auto-Motion technology supports the user automatically, without the need for complex manual adjustments.

With three frame configurations covering two seat height ranges, the chair can be matched to low or high workstations without compromising cleanroom safety or ergonomic support.

Hygienic Design and Auto-Motion Technology

The Cleanroom Texon chair has a joint free, hygienic design with smooth, sealed surfaces that prevent dirt from collecting in cracks or crevices and reliably avoid particle emissions. The Clean Cover protects the mechanism and makes cleaning even easier. Auto-Motion technology with Flex-Back automatically supports a correct sitting posture, and the upholstery element uses a click system that can be changed without tools, keeping cleaning and maintenance straightforward.

Seat Height and Frame Options

The Cleanroom Texon chair is available in three frame configurations. The low version (9173R) is fitted with castors and offers a seat height of 450-620 mm. The high version is available either with glides and a chrome-plated, height-adjustable foot ring (9171R), or with self-locking Stop & Go castors and the same foot ring (9175R), both covering a seat height of 570-810 mm. Stop & Go castors lock automatically once the user sits down and comply with the safety requirements of DIN 68877 for seat heights above 650 mm.

Upholstery Choices

The seat and backrest of the Cleanroom Texon chair can be upholstered in two cleanroom safe materials. Skintec ESD is a global innovation developed specifically for cleanroom use, combining a soft upholstery core with an easy-care, impermeable surface that is resistant to disinfectants, tested and certified, and produced without environmentally harmful substances. It is available in black, grey and off white. Artificial leather Magic is PVC-free, quick and easy to clean, and resistant to oils and commercially available disinfectants. It is available in black and grey.

Armrests and Accessories

Armrests are not included in the base configuration of the Cleanroom Texon chair and can be ordered separately as the 4D Armrest for Cleanroom Texon, adjustable in height, width and depth, and available for all three frame configurations. For the low version frame (9173R), a foot ring is also available separately, providing support thanks to its wide step area and adjustable height. On the high version frames (9171R, 9175R) the foot ring is already included as part of the base configuration.

Build Quality and Warranty

The Cleanroom Texon chair has a net weight of 16 kg on the low version and around 19 kg on the high versions, with an aluminium base finished in silver-grey. Every Cleanroom Texon chair is manufactured in Germany and backed by a 10-year warranty, covering the mechanism, frame and base against manufacturing defects.

Certifications and Standards

The Cleanroom Texon chair complies with DIN EN ISO 14644-1 for cleanroom air purity class 3 and EN 61340-5-1 for electrostatic discharge protection, and has been tested by the Fraunhofer Institute, bearing the internationally recognised Tested Device mark of conformity. It also meets DIN 68877 for castor and glide safety, carries the GS certificate for tested safety, and is produced under DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management, DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management, EMAS-tested environmental management and OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety management, giving buyers a fully documented compliance record for procurement and audit purposes.
