ESD Neon XXL Chair for Reliable Electrostatic Discharge Protection

The ESD Neon XXL is the heavy duty version of the Bimos Neon workplace chair family, designed for employees weighing up to 180 kg. It combines the same ESD reliability as the standard ESD Neon, meeting the requirements of DIN EN 61340-5-1 with a typical discharge resistance of 10 to the 6th Ohm, with reinforced components across the frame, castors, mechanism, gas spring, base and upholstery.

Built for Strong Employees, Without Compromising ESD Safety

All load bearing components of the ESD Neon XXL are rated for heavy duty use, with a TUV certified load capacity of up to 180 kg. The synchronous mechanism includes an XXL weight adjustment range from 80 to 180 kg, so the counterpressure of the backrest can be tuned individually for each user, supporting correct posture regardless of body weight.

Chair Element: With or Without Headrest

The ESD Neon XXL is available in two versions. The base version, order code 9575E, offers the full ergonomic package on castors. The version with headrest, order code 9576E, adds a height adjustable and tiltable headrest that helps relieve tension in the neck and shoulder muscles during relaxed sitting positions. Both versions share identical seat height, seat depth and backrest specifications.

Upholstery Choices

The seat and backrest of the ESD Neon XXL use the same click system upholstery as the standard ESD Neon, changeable without tools. Two materials are currently available on our site: Duotec ESD fabric, breathable and suited to clean ESD environments, and Magic artificial leather, PVC free, quick to clean and resistant to commercially available disinfectants.

Flex Strip and Base

The impact resistant flex strip is purely decorative, with no role in the ESD discharge path, and is available in blue, green, grey or orange. The base is black aluminium, robust and easy to keep clean, fitted with load dependent braked soft double castors of 65 mm diameter, larger than the standard ESD Neon castors to support the higher load rating.

Armrests and Accessories

Armrests are not included as standard equipment and can be ordered separately as the ESD 2D armrest accessory for the Neon XXL, adjustable in height by 110 mm and in width by 20 mm. The accessory is also listed in the Accessories tab.

Build Quality and Warranty

The ESD Neon XXL has a net weight of 21 kg on the version without headrest and 22.5 kg on the version with headrest. Every ESD Neon XXL chair is backed by a 10 year warranty, with free shipping of replacement parts throughout the entire period.

Certifications and Standards

The ESD Neon XXL complies with EN 61340-5-1 for electrostatic discharge protection and DIN 68877. It carries the GS certificate for tested safety, is produced under DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management, DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management, ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management and DIN EN ISO 50001 energy management, and holds the Blue Angel environmental label and a Fraunhofer ergonomics report.
