The ESD Unitec chair is a straightforward, solid entry-level option for ESD areas, offering all standard functions and easy adjustment for the user, conductive according to DIN EN 61340-5-1. Manufactured by Bimos, a brand of Interstuhl Büromöbel GmbH & Co.KG, the ESD Unitec chair does not feature the conductive plastic components and coated steel parts found on higher-tier Bimos ESD models, but there is no compromise in how the upholstery directs electrostatic charges down to the conductive base and castors or glides.

With three frame configurations covering two seat height ranges, the ESD Unitec chair can be matched to low or high workstations, including standing-and-sitting workplace situations.

Seat Height and Frame Options

The ESD Unitec chair is available in three frame configurations. The low version is fitted with either glides (9650E) or castors (9653E), both offering a seat height of 440-590 mm. The high version (9651E) is fitted with glides and a chrome-plated, height-adjustable foot ring, covering a seat height of 580-850 mm, and can also be ordered with self-locking Stop & Go castors instead of glides. Stop & Go castors lock automatically once the user sits down and comply with the safety requirements of DIN 68877 for seat heights above 650 mm.

Upholstery Choices

The seat and backrest of the ESD Unitec chair can be upholstered in Duotec ESD fabric, available in black, blue or grey, or in Skai ESD synthetic leather, black. Duotec ESD fabric is breathable and can absorb and release moisture, offering lasting comfort during long periods of sitting, and can be cleaned with standard upholstery cleaning agents. Skai ESD synthetic leather is PVC-free, particularly quick and easy to clean, durable, and resistant to oils and all commercially available disinfectants.

Mechanism and Armrests

Every ESD Unitec chair has a permanent contact backrest with backrest height adjustment: the movable backrest follows the upper body and adapts to the respective working posture, and can be locked in any angle if needed. Armrests are not included in the base configuration and can be ordered separately as the ESD 4D multifunctional armrest accessory, available for all three frame configurations. A foot ring for the low versions is also available separately.

Build Quality and Warranty

The ESD Unitec chair has a net weight of 13 kg on the low versions and 15 kg on the high version, with a stable, flat-tapered five-foot base made of plastic. Every ESD Unitec chair is backed by a 10-year warranty, with free shipping of replacement parts throughout the entire period.

The ESD Unitec chair complies with DIN EN 61340-5-1 for electrostatic discharge protection and DIN 68877 for castor and glide safety.
