ESD Stool for Reliable Electrostatic Discharge Protection at Every Workplace

The ESD Stool delivers dependable electrostatic discharge protection for demanding ESD workstations, meeting the requirements of DIN EN 61340-5-1 with a typical leakage resistance of 10 to the 6th Ohm, through conductive coated steel parts, conductive comfort pads and volume conductive castors.

Chair Element: With Castors or with Glides and Foot Ring

The ESD Stool is available in two versions. The base version, order code 9463E, has castors and a seat height range of 450 to 650 mm. The version with foot ring, order code 9461E, has glides and a chrome plated, height adjustable foot ring, with a higher seat range of 560 to 830 mm, suited to elevated workstations.

Extra Large, Comfortable Seat

The seat is extra large, with a diameter of 400 mm, and features extra thick, soft comfort padding of 60 mm. This automatically promotes correct posture and upright, healthy sitting, and the rounded front edge of the seat prevents possible blood congestion in the thighs. A characteristic black color ring under the seat protects the upholstery.

Upholstery Choices

Four materials are available: Duotec ESD fabric, breathable and suited to clean ESD environments, Magic ESD artificial leather, PVC free and quick to clean, Skintec ESD, robust and easy to care for, and Supertec ESD, a hard wearing, cut resistant and breathable cover material.

Seat Height and Base

Seat height is steplessly adjustable via a gas spring with a protective cover, using a convenient ring release running around the underside of the seat. The base is an extra small aluminium base, 540 mm in diameter, keeping the footprint compact while leaving legroom free.

Flex Support Accessory

An ESD Flex Support is available as an optional accessory, adjustable in height by 100 mm, acting as both an armrest and backrest, available as the ESD Flex Support for Bimos ESD Stool. It is a simple upgrade that turns the stool into a flexible, space saving and comfortable seat. The accessory is also listed in the Accessories tab.

Build Quality and Warranty

The ESD Stool has a net weight of 7.0 kg on the version with castors and 9.0 kg on the version with foot ring. Every ESD Stool is backed by a 10 year warranty, with free shipping of replacement parts throughout the entire period.

Certifications and Standards

The ESD Stool complies with EN 61340-5-1 for electrostatic discharge protection and DIN 68877. It carries the GS certificate for tested safety, is produced under DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management and DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management, holds EMAS certified environmental management and OHSAS 45001 occupational health and safety management, and has an EcoVadis CSR rating of Gold.
