Metro ESD 5-Shelf Wire Shelving Unit for Static-Controlled Storage

The Metro ESD Safe Super Erecta Wire Shelving Unit combines the benefits of the Metro Super Erecta wire shelving system with added electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for storage in static-controlled environments. Built with electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, semiconductor operations, and cleanroom applications in mind, this durable ESD rack delivers secure, conductive storage for static-sensitive components and materials.
Each preconfigured unit includes five chrome wire shelves designed to promote airflow and reduce dust and particulate buildup, helping maintain a cleaner, more controlled workspace. Chrome-plated steel posts and 9985-ESD conductive split sleeves create a continuous conductive path throughout the rack, ensuring consistent protection against electrostatic discharge. Leveling feet keep the unit stable and grounded during use in electronics assembly areas, cleanrooms, or ESD-protected zones.
All shelves can be repositioned in 1-inch increments to accommodate inventory and workflow requirements. The open-wire construction provides clear visibility and easy access to stored parts, tools, or equipment while supporting superior air circulation around stored materials.
Metro stationary ESD shelving can safely hold up to 800 pounds per shelf and 2,000 pounds per unit when evenly distributed and is backed by the Metro Never Collapse Guarantee. This makes them ideal for storing bulk materials, test equipment, and high-density inventory in electronics storage rooms, laboratories, and other controlled manufacturing spaces.

Sizes Available to Order

The unit is available to order, including custom configuration, in three sizes: ESD-2436NC-74-S-5 (914 x 610 x 1880 mm), ESD-2448NC-74-S-5 (1219 x 610 x 1880 mm) and ESD-2460NC-74-S-5 (1524 x 610 x 1880 mm). Select the size in the selector above.

Weight, Load and Materials

Approximate package weight is 33.6 kg for the 914 mm version, 40.5 kg for the 1219 mm version and 52.3 kg for the 1524 mm version. The load capacity is 800 lbs (363 kg) per shelf and 2000 lbs (907 kg) per unit. The unit is made of steel, with a chrome finish, in a silver color.

ESD Protection

Conductivity is maintained throughout the entire structure through chrome-plated steel and 9985-ESD polymer split sleeves. Leveling feet keep the unit grounded during use.
